Earthquake Education Services (EES) is an earth science education outreach program of the University of Utah Seismograph Stations and the College of Mines and Earth Sciences. Our mission is to partner with teachers in the K-12 educational community in order to facilitate earth science education in Utah's classrooms.

We offer teacher professional development courses using teams of teachers paired with scientists in order to provide high quality teacher professional development courses and classroom teaching activities. Our courses combine strong science content with what really works in the classroom. Our programs are developed from the earth science education goals of Utah's K-12 science core curriculum, the Benchmarks For Science Literacy, and the National Science Standards.

EES partners with the Utah Geological Survey and The Utah EPICenter - Utah Division of Comprehensive Emergency Management to provide these professional development opportunities for teachers in the Earth Sciences.
