Draft: May 25, 2000
This proposal is aimed at seismic network operators--in the first instance--and other interested persons and organizations in the Intermountain West (Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, and western Texas). Its purpose is to address the need for seismologists, engineers, emergency managers, and other stakeholders to self-organize as part of a process of developing a management structure for an Advanced National Seismic System. We are proposing a meeting for anyone in the Intermountain West who may want to consider being part of the organizational structure of an Intermountain West ANSS Region.
